Many important bills will reach the House and Senate for a vote on March 10, 2010.

HB 1580 – (SUPPORT) Establishes that parents have a natural, fundamental right to determine and direct the education of their children. The bill also exempts children who are receiving educational instruction from a parent from the compulsory attendance requirements.

CACR 29 – (SUPPORT) Parents have the natural right to control the health, education, and welfare of their children; therefore the state shall not abridge the role or responsibility of parents in controlling the health, education, or welfare of their children.

HB 1343 – (SUPPORT) Establishing a joint committee on the constitutionality of acts, orders, laws, statutes, regulations, and rules of the government of the United States of America in order to protect state sovereignty – 10th Amendment Support.

A Protest of the Representatives is planned for 8:15-11:00 AM as they enter the State House and from 12:30-1:30 PM as they exit and re-enter for lunch. Visit the gallery all day to observe proceedings.

HB 1445 – eliminating the 9% meals and rooms tax on campsites that was imposed last year.
HB 1523 – revising the state’s bullying statutes as amended to include ALL students not just some.
HB 1555 – adding an exemption from immunization for conscientious beliefs.
HB 1661 – repealing the LLC tax which otherwise could hurt small businesses.

Please contact your Representatives and ask them to SUPPORT all of the above.

Please ask them to OPPOSE the following:
HB 1607 – allowing the Commissioner of Revenue to set reasonable compensation for LLC’s and other small business.

SB 505 – establishing the New Hampshire health services oversight commission to set rates for hospitals. This is the ‘MaggieCare’ bill you have been hearing about. Please call or write your Senators and ask that they OPPOSE this bill.
