Superior Court Judge Diane Nicolosi struck down the New Hampshire Advantage Coalition’s proposal that the city of Concord should limit spending and tax increases to the previous year’s national consumer price index, even though a cap could be overridden by a two-thirds city council vote.
Tax caps are successfully in place in Franklin, Derry, Nashua, Rochester, Dover and Laconia.
Tax cap petitioned warrant articles PASSED at 7 of 8 town meetings this past March 10, 2009.
The NHAC will appeal.
