From a 2008 AP article:

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Secretary of State Bill Gardner says New Hampshire has avoided the voter fraud seen elsewhere because it allows people to sign up to vote at the polls.

Gardner says many of the fraudulent techniques used to build voter registration roles spring from the federal Motor Voter Act of 1993, which allows people to register at welfare offices and public places. He says allowing people to have more than one location to register is an invitation to double count people.

Gardner, with help from Sen. Judd Gregg, convicted (sic – convinced?) Congress to exempt New Hampshire from the federal law because it allows people to sign up at the polls. He says the state has the ultimate protection because people have to register in person and demonstrate that they live in that community.

But it is not enforced. Forget ACORN. Gardner is NH’s own voter fraud-enabling NUT. The problem is, people are NOT asked to prove where they live and when challenged, the challengers are often accused of ‘intimidation’. How else would you explain THIS same-day registrant, who used the address of Kathy Sullivan, the then-Democrat party chair’s home, before he fled to his real home in South Dakota the very next day? Gardner’s refusal to prosecute this RAMPANT type of voter fraud in NH earns him a permanent position in our Wall of Shame. How many others have gotten away with this? Hundreds. In the last election, CNHT poll watchers were not allowed to challenge at least 2 voters in Ward 3 Manchester where a Massachusetts license was accepted as proof of residence. The applicants, Democrat campaign workers, were still allowed to vote. Over the years, CNHT has submitted boxfuls to the SoS who refuses to do a thing to stop it. When sleazy lawyers like Democrat Kathy Sullivan can get away with enabling high-profile people to commit voter fraud, what of all the others that slip through the cracks?
