Results of First Straw Poll of the Season
Hillsborough, NH — The Coalition of NH Taxpayers held its 17th Annual Taxpayer Reunion Picnic on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 12 Noon – 3:00 PM at the American Legion #59 in Hillsborough NH where a crowd of about 200 gathered.
Among this year’s speakers were Presidential Candidates Carly Fiorina and Governor Jim Gilmore and representatives from eleven local liberty groups who maintained an informational presence. Staffers were on hand from 8 campaigns to answer questions and distribute literature.
The first straw poll of the campaign season was taken among the 14 declared candidates with these results: (note: not everyone in attendance voted)

Senator Rand Paul emerged as the clear favorite, winning with 39% of the vote.
