The “Stiff” Who Keeps On Giving

Oh did you see!!
Fired Atkinson Police Chief, Phil “the Thug” Consentino, is thinking about running for selectman in town.

Just as soon as the dust from an out of court sexual harassment suit was paid to the shiny new dispatch girl who had someone breathlessly explain to her that they no longer needed Viagra since she came to work, we have the scandal ridden former police thug enter the edge of the political stage — again.

You can’t make this stuff up.

I can predict it though.

As I told the activists in Atkinson, when a former police thug loses his ability to abuse his office he has to:
1. Leave town.
2. Shut up and never be seen (Miles Rigney, Weare PD)
3. Get back in power somehow so he won’t be the subject of revenge.

Consentino has little choice but to run for office or be tossed to the waste bin of impotent former potentates.

Atkinson voters have not shown much savvy beyond voting for their own special interests, the kind Consentino used to hand out as the “Elderly Affairs (except that one time)” director.
Free rides in the E.A Cruisers for the shut-ins in town can carry a lot of votes – as well as a clipboard for petitions for more police spending.

The out-of-court sexual harassment settlement never really hit the light of day until now.

Run Consentino, run!

We may get the out-of-court details yet.
