There is no mutual understanding of what is being loaded on a truck and hauled away since no “inventory list” was supplied to Duke’s Garage. The Town handed the owner of Duke’s Garage the mandated “inventory list” after one of their last “final” visits. Seems to be a pattern.

On January 11, 2018 New Boston officials showed up in court for a hearing enjoining them from entering structures without the inventory list. The judge asked them to provide it. They were given ten days to come up with one.

Of course, the whole junk removal of New Boston junk to Dunbarton had been going on for months without a required inventory list, but that seems part of the old plan.

Here is the new New Boston plan: Let’s terrorize the owner of Duke’s Garage!

Today, February 1, the Town showed up, unannounced, and after telling the owner of Duke’s Garage, John Winslow, “they were finished” several times before, gave him “20 minutes” to move his remaining registered vehicles or they would be towed. The Town is supposed to give Mr. Winslow 48 hours’ notice before “inspecting” his property – and he is permitted by a previous court order to be present.

With much waving of hands and shouting of random orders to take this or that, and a threat of handcuffs – the process began. They took an umbrella, John’s workbench, some lawnmowers – then they left. So, what was the purpose of all this?

Once again, they claim to be “finished.” We will see.

It should be noted that Mr. Winslow left the property by ambulance during his hurried attempts at satisfying the unspecified and random demands by New Boston to surrender his grandfathered repair/towing service they have relabeled as junk.

Is it every New Boston Official, or just one, instigating this malicious activity?
We will see.

Do the Selectmen keep minutes of the meetings they have where it is decided to harass Mr. Winslow? Or is one Selectman in particular – on his own mission?

We will see.

by Ed Naile After “beating” the next, yet unscheduled hearing in Superior Court regarding their attempt to remove “junk” from inside a licensed tractor trailer body and two-car garage, the Town has again and again showed up with their uninsured contractor to take what they consider junk.
