It claims to be a Family Leave bill, but it is a tax on income. <\/p>\n<p>It requires employers to withhold .5% of employees&#8217; wages. Naturally, it excludes government employees. It has an opt-out provision, for the moment, BUT&#8230; it is a tax on income.<\/p>\n<p>The second Committee hearing will be held on January 16, 2018 in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gencourt.state.nh.us\/house\/committees\/committeedetails.aspx?code=H43\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HOUSE Commerce and Consumer Affairs<\/a> room, LOB 302 at 11:00 AM.<\/p>\n<p>Please write to that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gencourt.state.nh.us\/house\/committees\/committeedetails.aspx?code=H43\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">committee<\/a> and ask them to stop this bill from going any further.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently HB 628 passed the NH House.
