{"id":3960,"date":"2017-09-11T08:14:44","date_gmt":"2017-09-11T13:14:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cnht.org\/news\/?p=3960"},"modified":"2017-11-16T14:09:38","modified_gmt":"2017-11-16T19:09:38","slug":"how-does-martha-do-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cnht.org\/news\/2017\/09\/11\/how-does-martha-do-it\/","title":{"rendered":"How Does Martha Do It?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>by Ed Naile<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Apparently, the City of Portsmouth has a problem with people renting out apartments through AirBnB.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unionleader.com\/business\/Portsmouth-zoning-law-trouble-for-Airbnb-09112017\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Portsmouth Zoning Law Trouble for AirBnB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From the story:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOfficials do not track Airbnb rentals specifically, and city attorney Robert Sullivan says he estimates the total number of cease and desist orders issued this year for short-term rentals is less than 10.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSullivan explained on Thursday that unless something is specifically allowed under Portsmouth\u2019s zoning ordinance, it is not permissible.
