CNHT 17th Annual Taxpayer Picnic<\/strong>
\nResults of First Straw Poll of the Season<\/p>\n

Hillsborough, NH \u2014 The Coalition of NH Taxpayers held its 17th Annual Taxpayer Reunion Picnic on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 12 Noon – 3:00 PM at the American Legion #59 in Hillsborough NH where a crowd of about 200 gathered.<\/p>\n

Among this year\u2019s speakers were Presidential Candidates Carly Fiorina and Governor Jim Gilmore and representatives from eleven local liberty groups who maintained an informational presence. Staffers were on hand from 8 campaigns to answer questions and distribute literature.<\/p>\n

The first straw poll of the campaign season was taken among the 14 declared candidates with these results: (note: not everyone in attendance voted)<\/p>\n

\nDonald Trump – 12<\/p>\n

Senator Rand Paul emerged as the clear favorite, winning with 39% of the vote.<\/p>\n
