Just to set the record straight as we tramp towards Election Day. Governor Hassan has not taken \u201cThe Pledge\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If she did I think I would know because \u201cThe Pledge\u201d is a program kept in place by The Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers.<\/p>\n

Jeanne Shaheen did not take The Pledge and she tried to pass a sales tax when she was Governor.<\/p>\n

We have John Lynch\u2019s Pledge on the wall of our office, signed by me and the former Governor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Governor Craig Benson took The Pledge. <\/p>\n

All any candidate need do is print and sign The Pledge and mail it back or do it on our web site.<\/p>\n

As soon as the Governor signs a CNHT Taxpayer Pledge we will post it on our web site and hang it on the wall in the office at #8 North Main St. in Concord for all to see.<\/p>\n

I believe it is a banner year for CNHT Pledges during this election, so much for it going away.<\/p>\n

Another thing to remember…<\/p>\n

Many elected officials who make fun of the CNHT Pledge vote FOR taxes every time they are presented the opportunity.<\/p>\n

So what pledge did they take to be so consistent in taxing and spending? Who did they promise that they would vote for taxes every time? And isn\u2019t that a sign of a weak mind and bad behavior from a person who is supposed to represent the people?<\/p>\n

And this from the NH Constitution:<\/p>\n

[Art.] 38. [Social Virtues Inculcated.] A frequent recurrence to the fundamental principles of the constitution, and a constant adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, industry, frugality, and all the social virtues, are indispensably necessary to preserve the blessings of liberty and good government; the people ought, therefore, to have a particular regard to all those principles in the choice of their officers and representatives, and they have a right to require of their lawgivers and magistrates, an exact and constant observance of them, in the formation and execution of the laws necessary for the good administration of government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
