Dassau.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of Fitzwilliam, Gilsum, Richmond, Roxbury, Sullivan, Surry and Troy approved the new teachers contract by a margin of 1,964 to 1,315.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s vote on the contract represented a special election, granted by  Cheshire County Superior Court judge, who ruled that low morale and wages that were frozen without a contract constituted the \u201cemergency\u201d situation required by law to hold an election before the annual meeting in March.<\/p>\n<p>###<br \/>\n<em>Note: This contract (which was NOT an emergency) had already been rejected 4 times in the past.
