Susan Almy (D-Grafton) have arranged for a \u201ctax summit\u201d before the New Hampshire House Ways and Means Committee, Oct. 21-22.<\/p>\n<p>The public can attend but may not speak or ask questions.<\/p>\n<p>The choice of groups invited to participate shows complete disregard for actual citizens and \u201cbona-fide\u201d New Hampshire taxpayer-funded advocacy groups.<\/p>\n<p>Groups like <a href=\"https:\/\/itep.org\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy<\/a> (ITEP) and Granite State Fair Tax Coalition (GSFTC) will likely testify in favor of sales or income taxes or both, as they have done in the past.<\/p>\n<p>See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnht.org\/pdf\/ITEP_Testimony_NH_HB_642.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ITEP&#8217;s Testimony on HB 642<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Among ITEP\u2019s long list of funders are George Soros\u2019 Open Society, The TIDES Foundation (where have you heard THAT name lately?) and the Rockefeller and Ford Foundations. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctj.org\/itep\/funding.htm\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Citizens for Tax Justice Funding<\/a> page has since been removed but the latest archive from 2008 shows these donors:<\/p>\n<p>Arca Foundation<br \/>\nAnnie E. Casey Foundation<br \/>\nBen and Jerry Foundation<br \/>\nThe Century Fund<br \/>\nCoydog Foundation<br \/>\nEast Bay Community Foundation<br \/>\n<strong>Ford Foundation<\/strong><br \/>\nFunding Exchange<br \/>\nJ.C. Penney Foundation<br \/>\nJoyce Foundation<br \/>\n<strong>National Education Association<\/strong><br \/>\nNew York Community Trust<br \/>\n<strong>Open Society Institute<\/strong><br \/>\nPopplestone Foundation<br \/>\nPrice Entities<br \/>\nPublic Welfare Foundation<br \/>\n<strong>Rockefeller Foundation<\/strong><br \/>\nSan Diego Community Foundation<br \/>\nThe Schumann Foundation<br \/>\nStern Family Fund<br \/>\nStoneman Family Fund<br \/>\nStreisand Foundation<br \/>\nThe Shefa Fund<br \/>\n<strong>Tides Foundation<\/strong><br \/>\nVanguard Family Fund<br \/>\n<strong>Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation<\/strong><br \/>\nWorking Assets Funding Services <\/p>\n<p>(Editors Note: These donors are part of the Soros-funded network of progressive groups http:\/\/www.discoverthenetworks.org\/viewSubCategory.asp?id=1303)<\/p>\n<p>The deceptively named GSFTC is funded by David Rockefeller-funded World Council of Churches.
