{"id":2248,"date":"2012-03-31T14:58:10","date_gmt":"2012-03-31T19:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cnht.org\/news\/?p=2248"},"modified":"2017-12-14T11:21:01","modified_gmt":"2017-12-14T16:21:01","slug":"iclei-in-nashua","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cnht.org\/news\/2012\/03\/31\/iclei-in-nashua\/","title":{"rendered":"ICLEI in Nashua"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Did you know that Nashua is an ICLEI city?<\/p>\n<p>Did you know that ICLEI is a &#8220;Local Governments for sustainable development&#8221; program, in the model of UN Agenda21?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;ICLEI is an international association of local governments as well as national and regional local government organizations who have made a commitment to sustainable development.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iclei.org\/index.php?id=about\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">About ICLEI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>ICLEI and Agenda21 both aim to usurp local authority to &#8220;regional&#8221; authority, aiming to &#8220;meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come&#8221;.  <\/p>\n<p>This is done through regional planning and zoning etc. and at the town and county levels. It intrudes into the educational system and medicine.
