What is the problem?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From this week&#8217;s Senate Calendar:<\/p>\n<p>HB 429, permitting a child 16 years of age or older to withdraw from school with parental permission. Inexpedient to Legislate, Vote 3-1.<br \/>\nSenator Prescott for the committee.<\/p>\n<p>Presumably Sen. Forsythe was the single vote in favor of the bill. <\/p>\n<p>HB 429 goes to the Senate floor on Wednesday, June 1st for a vote.  PLEASE contact your senators immediately and tell them to support parents and pass HB 429.  With a Republican majority in the Senate there is no reason to kill both parental rights bills, which passed the House: HB 429 and HB 542.  <\/p>\n<p>HB 542 is currently on the table in the Senate. <\/p>\n<p>HB 542-FN, prohibiting a school district from requiring that a parent send his or her child to any school or program to which the parent may be conscientiously opposed.  4\/13\/11, pending motion Inexpedient to Legislate, Education.<\/p>\n<p>On HB 542 the Senate Education Committee vote was Inexpedient to Legislate 4-1, again with Sen. Forsythe in favor of the bill.  PLEASE ask your senators to pull HB 542 off the table and pass it on Wednesday along with HB 429.  Why aren&#8217;t these senators listening to parents?  Perhaps not enough parents are contacting their senators?<\/p>\n<p>Please be polite, but feel free to contact as many senators as you like.  This is an outrageous affront to all parents in NH.  The State knows best for your children?
