{"id":1242,"date":"2010-07-17T15:58:56","date_gmt":"2010-07-17T20:58:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cnht.org\/news\/?p=1242"},"modified":"2017-12-03T11:51:30","modified_gmt":"2017-12-03T16:51:30","slug":"moultonborough-officials-get-cease-and-desist-orders-from-ag","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cnht.org\/news\/2010\/07\/17\/moultonborough-officials-get-cease-and-desist-orders-from-ag\/","title":{"rendered":"Moultonborough Officials Get Cease and Desist Orders From AG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnht.org\/images\/heath.png\">letter to the editor<\/a> in today&#8217;s (July 17, 2010) Laconia Daily Sun, it was reported that two Moultonborough public officials were given Cease and Desist orders over an SB-2 flyer that was sent out by a &#8220;mysterious committee&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In his letter, Rick Heath said that Laurie Whitley, former School Board chair and Karel Crawford, former BOS chair were sent the order which included &#8220;numerous citizens&#8221; .<\/p>\n<p>The issue was that the unsigned flyer violated RSA 664:14.<\/p>\n<p>During his quest to find information, Heath also stated that the current School Board Chair Mark Borrin responded that no one had received any contact from the AG&#8217;s office in relation to this matter when in fact, Heath had obtained copies of the investigator&#8217;s notes detailing conversations that the AG&#8217;s office had with the school board and superintendent.<\/p>\n<p>The question Heath still asks is &#8216;Where did they get the mailing list?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The question we have is, where was the newspaper report on this?<\/p>\n<p>Note: In a related issue, the perpetrators of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnht.org\/news\/2010\/03\/13\/plagiarism-is-the-sincerest-form-of-flattery\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hampton Yellow Flyer scandal<\/a> have yet to be apprehended.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a letter to the editor in today&#8217;s (July 17, 2010) Laconia Daily Sun, it was reported that two Moultonborough public officials were given Cease and Desist orders over an SB-2 flyer that was sent out by a &#8220;mysterious committee&#8221;.
