The supporters of the Driver Ed Bill would like you to attend the bill’s public hearing in front of the Senate Transportation Committee on Thursday, April 5th at 10:30 AM in Legislative Office Building Rooms 306 & 308, 33 North Street, Concord NH. Senators need to see you there – please wear BLUE.

Please come to HB 1440’s hearing April 5th. Some driver ed instructors fear that having options for driver ed in NH will have a negative financial impact on their profession. There are around 300 driver ed instructors in New Hampshire. They are very organized and we expect that they will all be at the hearing testifying against HB 1440.

This is a chance to take a stand for something you believe in (a consumer’s right to options, a teenager’s ability to get their driver’s license and be an educated driver)!

HB 1440 would allow NH teens options when it comes to driver ed. Currently they have none. If a teenager wants to get their driver’s license before age 18, they must go to a driving school. If a teen can’t afford driving school, is unhappy with the service their area driving school provides, or can’t fit inflexible driving school classroom and driving time into their schedule, they have no other option. HB 1440 would change that by giving families a safe, secure, DOS approved, affordable online driver ed option with parent provided behind-the-wheel training.
