Homeschoolers in New Hampshire won a decisive victory for freedom and liberty as the New Hampshire House of Representatives responded to your voices to kill HB 368 today by a landslide vote of 324 to 34.

For the past several years a vocal group of pro-regulation educators, led by Education Chair Emma Rouse and Representative Judith Day, have sought to impose unreasonable regulations and additional governmental intrusion on homeschooling families in New Hampshire. After two legislative committees studied this issue and recommended no further regulations, leadership within the Democratic caucus seemed poised to side with Rouse and Day in attempting to fight the issue on the floor of the House and submit a draconian amendment to the law. But homeschoolers defended these freedoms by calling and visiting legislators and by showing up at the Capitol for two weeks in a row to show strong opposition to this legislation.
